This Privacy Policy describes how Scan Budget ("we", "us", or "our") handles information collected through the Scan Budget mobile application and this website.
What we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to provide the service: receipt images, audio recordings, or text you submit for parsing; the transactions extracted from them; and basic account identifiers such as your email address.
Camera access
Scan Budget uses your device camera only when you choose to capture a receipt or other budgeting document in the app. We do not access the camera in the background, and we do not record or capture images without your action.
You can revoke camera permission at any time in your device settings. Some scan features may stop working if camera access is disabled.
How we use it
Submitted media is processed by our AI pipeline to extract structured transactions. Extracted transactions are saved to your account so you can view, edit, and export them. We do not sell personal data, and we do not train models on your receipts.
Retention
Source media retention is configurable in the app and defaults to minimal. Transaction data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete any item, or your entire account, at any time.
Third parties
We use trusted sub-processors for transcription (OpenAI Whisper), image parsing, and email delivery. Data is transmitted over TLS and processed under strict data-processing agreements.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. Use the Delete Account page, or email support@scanbudget.com.ua.
